Advertising & affiliate disclosure

In line with the U.S. Federal Trade Commission's disclosure guidelines (16 CFR Part 255), this page states DeviceFixCosts' commercial relationships plainly, in one place, without fine print doing quiet work.

Advertising. This site does not currently serve third-party advertising. If an advertising partner is added, any opt-out it offers will be linked from this disclosure page. Advertisers do not choose, review, or influence the price data, ranges, or editorial content on this site, and an advertisement is not an endorsement of the advertiser by this site.

Affiliate relationships. Some outbound links on this site may be affiliate links, meaning the site may earn a commission if you buy through them, at no additional cost to you. Affiliate relationships never determine which figures we publish: every price on this site comes from a cited, published source, as described on the methodology page, whether or not any commercial relationship exists with the source.

Publisher interest. This site is published by the team behind Starbase Computer, an independent repair shop in South Pasadena, CA. That interest is disclosed in the footer of every page. Starbase Computer never appears in any ranking or rating on this site, is never presented as a price average or benchmark, and appears by name only in three fenced places: the methodology colophon, a clearly labelled publisher's-shop box on the Los Angeles page, and the footer publisher disclosure. A workbook edition of this site's tables and worksheets is planned at $19 and will be labelled as our own product wherever it is mentioned.

Estimator link. The data recovery hub links to datarecoverycostcheck.com. That estimator is published by Starbase Computer, and its estimates direct readers to Starbase Computer for the work. This site's data recovery content remains published ranges with cited sources regardless of that relationship. Questions about any relationship on this page can be sent through the contact page.
